Vintage bentwood bistro chair by Thonet

An absolute icon of European design, the Thonet bistro chair is one of the most emblematic pieces of furniture there is. The steam-bent wood technique, patented by Michael Thonet in the mid-19th century, revolutionised furniture manufacturing by allowing the creation of soft and elegant shapes from a simple and lightweight material.
