Turned wood tripod stool

This charming stool with pretty “coil” feet and a molded seat will find many uses in a home, as an extra seat, end of sofa, plant holder or even bedside…the seat and feet have been nicely worked by turning wood. It probably dates from the 60s or 70s. It is in good structural condition, solid and stable, the feet are well inserted and do not move. But it does not hide some signs of its age: water marks, it was probably used as a plant holder. I faded them a little by first applying a little walnut husk then a very light coat of matte varnish but its previous patina is still present, the feet were still rather shiny, they still are and the seat had become rather matte over time and it remained that way. The seat has a fine "crack", which does not jeopardize its solidity, it is in fact the junction between the two pieces of wood which were solidly assembled before the wood turning process (see wood turning technique). Assembly on the edge of the seat in one of the photos). It measures 32 cm in height, the seat measures 23.5 cm in diameter and 3 cm in thickness. The feet form a triangle of approximately 33 cm on each side.
