Large rosewood sideboard restored – 1960s/70s

Large vintage sideboard from the 60s/70s, made of rosewood veneer. Spectacular yet sophisticated, it will allow you to showcase your items and gain storage space. Recovered from an elderly lady who was delighted with its second life, it has been fully restored and enhanced. It consists of four doors opening to several storage spaces. One of the compartments features three interior drawers with brass-finish handles, as well as shelves for organising tableware, linen, or everyday items. The old varnish has been removed, surfaces carefully sanded, wood treated, and then re-stained to reveal and harmonise the natural shades of the rosewood. A new satin protective finish has been applied. The legs have also been reworked to lower the silhouette of the piece and give it more contemporary proportions, while retaining its original feet and their metal tips. The fittings have been refinished in brass, in harmony with the handles of the interior drawers. The rosewood features particularly pronounced grain, with numerous variations in tones ranging from warm brown to deep brown, characteristic of this wood. This is an authentic vintage piece: despite the restoration work, some irregularities and marks related to its age may remain.
