Bowl of fruit Vannes le Chatel Crystal, vintage, 50s, 60

Superb cut of the 1950s in the Chatel valves Crystal, signed. In the 1950s, they were common, and laid them on buffets to present the fruits. Today, one can imagine other uses. Empty, it will be just as decorative with its pretty transparent, pure and air line. Very good condition. No shine. Almost no scratches from use. For the record: Vannes-le-Châtel, located south of the Meurthe-et-Moselle, at the edge of the Meuse and Vosges, is heir to a long tradition of glass still in activity. The place called "La Cristallerie" hosts a renowned industrial site: it is here that are made all the pieces signed Daum. Parts are cast glass pasta in some molds made using the lost wax technique. Crystal parts that are associated with some glass blocks are manufactured baked in pots. Some pieces signed by great artists (Braque, Topor, Caesar, Dali, to name a few) are made in limited editions. Others are mass-produced, many are intended for export. On the same site was once blown and etched, crystalline "Vannes-le-Châtel", then the "Crystal of Sevres" stamped crystal. The brand has been sold to a foreign group and is no longer manufactured in France.
