Rattan and ceramic table Georges Chassin Vallauris

Rattan and ceramic table from Vallauris in the Audoux Minnet style 1950 Ceramic top with floral motifs signed Georges Chassin. The whole is in excellent state of conservation. Georges Chassin, ceramist from Vallauris from the 1960s represented at La Bergerie. He worked in particular with Audoux and Minnet on various rattan pieces. Audoux-Minnet is a manufacturer of high-end garden, terrace and living room furniture in rattan, bamboo and raffia cordage. In the 40s and 50s, the designer couple Adrien Audoux and Frida Minnet offered original and modern furniture in natural materials for the wealthy clientele of the Riviera (Côte d'Azur). Initially installed in Cannes in 1929, they moved to Golfe-Juan (Alpes Maritimes) in 1942
