A set of six beautiful majolica plates from Digoin Sarreguemines featuring their iconic fruit motif in slip decoration. The superb and dynamic hand glazing makes these plates stand out from the rest and truly captures the spirit of the 1950s. Each plate is decorated with brightly coloured fruits on a background of overlapping leaves, all with slight variations in colour and shading. This is due to the fact that each plate has been individually handmade. They are in exceptional condition and are beautiful examples of French earthenware. Very beautiful colours are present, bright and cheerful. In very good vintage condition, they have retained all their typical majolica shine. The set weighs 3.4 kilograms, with a diameter of 24 centimetres and a height of 3 centimetres for the plates. So if you like them, don’t hesitate, buy them. You are purchasing what you see.
