Wall lamp Drive by Adalberto Dal Lago for Bieffeplast, 1974

Drive' is a wall lamp designed by adalberto dal lago and adam thiani in 1974. It was manufactured by francesconi-bieffeplast. This model is part of a series of wall and table lamps. All these lamps are made of plastic, rubber and safety glass. The proposed lamp is the largest model in the series. The top of the lamp can be rotated, the relatively heavy rubber base keeps it stable. Another table lamp from the same series was described in giuliana gramigna's repertorio del design italiano 1950-2000 on page 229 (1974) and in gianluca sgalippa's 'space age lights' on page 115.
