Desk CM141 by Pierre Paulin for Thonet – 1954

Magnificent CM141 desk designed by Pierre Paulin for Thonet in the 1950s. This desk is one of Pierre Paulin's earliest works when he began his collaboration with Thonet. The CM141 desk is an iconic piece, with its clean lines and innovative design for the 1950s that would establish Pierre Paulin's reputation. The desk presented has the particularity of having the drawer unit on the left. Indeed, most of the time, the drawer unit of the CM141 desk is positioned on the right. The top, on the other hand, is made of a beautiful black melamine. This CM141 desk is in very good vintage condition. It has no missing parts or damage. It is in its original state and has not been modified. However, it does have some signs of wear related to time and the object's life. Most of these signs of wear are marks on the black melamine top. They are very minimally visible in the photos.
