Authentic and rare modernist table lamp from the 1970s, born from the remarkable work of Breton weaver and artist Bernard Planeix (1938-2021). Son of François Planeix (a figure of the famous artistic movement Ar Seiz Breur), Bernard Planeix perpetuated a tradition of excellence in Uzel (Côtes-d'Armor) by modernising textile design. This light fixture stands out with its exceptional cylindrical lampshade made from handcrafted artisanal weaving, delicately blending warm shades of orange, beige, brown, and forest green. The base, with its minimalist and geometric design in patinated metal reminiscent of Brutalism, serves as a simple showcase for this textile work. Once lit, the magic happens: the fabric's weave filters the light, creating a soft, intimate, and extremely warm atmosphere, highlighting each thread of the weaving. In magnificent vintage condition. The lampshade is clean, without deformation or burns, which is particularly rare for these period textile pieces. The original label from the creation workshop "Tissage à la main B. Planeix - Uzel - Bretagne" is perfectly preserved inside. The original electricity is functional.
