Murano hanging lamp

A wonderful ceiling light with its sinuous and enchanting lines. This murano venetian lantern is characterised by its particular glass processing which happens inside the metal structure. Made in a mouth blown glass by master glassblowers in the age old balaton method. This lantern is a beautiful warm beige/taupe colour which warms the room whether lit or not.the framework is in a swirl design and made of iron. The top piece of the lantern can be removed to fit the bulb. The lantern is hung on a large hook and decorative round cup ceiling fitting.the shade is in very good antique with no chips or cracks, it does have some air bubbles which is common in glass from this period. The lamp holder is wired with twin core french wiring and has a standard bayonet bulb holder. The iron works does have some marks associated with age it has been cleaned but not polished so you can decide on the finish.we recommend that all electrical items are checked by a qualified electrician in your own country to comply with local safety regulations.
