Oil shale natural stone coffee table by Studio Draenert

Unique vintage 1960’s brutalist coffee table model 'Primus', by (Dr.)Peter Draenert for Studio Draenert. The thickly chromed metal base carries a table top of 167 million year old German (Schwäbisch) slate oil shale stone. This particular stone top has diverse fossils in it, amongst which an outstanding large ammonite. Marked on the bottom with the designer and makers name with explanations of the stone. The table is in perfect condition, the chrome is perfect and what is unique in itself is that there’s no damage whatsoever to the top, nor on the rim. A real eye catching piece of art suitable for any interior.
