Studio ceramic vase with fishes from Carstens / Goldscheider, 1950s

Unusual ceramic vase with fish on both sides, designed in the 1950s. Originally drafted by Goldscheider in Vienna and produced by Carstens Tönnieshof. In June 1953, the Majolikafabrik Carstens founded the subsidiary "Art Ceramic Manufaktur Goldscheider GmbH" based in Fredelsloh. A year after Walter Goldscheider's death, the company was converted into "Carstens Tönnieshof GmbH." This piece features an attribution mark and was manufactured in Germany during the 1950s design period. The condition is very good, with light wear and patina consistent with its age and use.
