Large glass library from the MD France manufacture in oak. It consists of 5 independent modules, each made up of 5 glass cabinets. The whole is in good condition (the glass is intact and slides well). All the knobs are made of brass and marked "Bibliothèque M.D". It is interesting and rare to have 5 modules to create a 4-metre long library that can be arranged as desired, allowing for the decoration of an entire wall in a home or shop. This model likely dates from before the 1950s and closely resembles the highly sought-after Globe Wernicke libraries. This format is rare and old, as the M.D libraries found on the market have much larger cabinets and do not have the brass knobs marked M.D. It is worth noting that there are four identical modules, with the interior of the upper cabinet painted red. One module is not painted and has a slightly different base. The cabinets, which are normally independent, have been fixed together with old metal brackets, likely for added security. Several cabinets have small missing veneer on the side (see photos), but this is not visible as the modules are placed against each other.
