Giotto Stoppino, Italian moulded plastic

Giotto Stoppino (1926-2011) is one of the pioneers of Italian moulded plastic design. A Milanese architect trained at the Politecnico, an early member of the radical Archizoom group, he signed for Kartell, Stilnovo, Bernini and Heller emblematic pieces of the 60s and 70s. His Cobra chair (1972) and his ABS thermoformed magazine rack have become icons of Italian pop design, exhibited at MoMA and in every modern design collection.

The Cobra chair and Heller magazine rack in coloured ABS remain Giotto Stoppino's most iconic pieces. Italian pop vintage design objects to find for those wanting a Seventies classic in joyful colours.
