Nils Jonsson, Swedish Troeds furniture

Nils Jonsson is a Swedish designer active in the 1960s and 70s, whose production fits within the great tradition of Scandinavian light wood furniture. Closely linked to the Swedish publisher Troeds, based in Bjärnum, he signed tables, sideboards and bookshelves in teak, rosewood or beech, with restrained elegance and careful finishes. A signature representative of the best of the Swedish school of furniture during the post-war boom, long overshadowed by the fame of Danish designers, and rediscovered today by lovers of authentic Scandinavian design.
