Description
This rice cake mold, is made of cherry tree. This craft appeared during the edo period. In total disappearance, there would remain to this day only 6 or 7 master craftsmen in all of japan. They were used to make wagashi or namagashi (cakes served during the tea ceremony). "this kashigata is carp-patterned.
