Description
Very nice oil on panel signed by trigo. It depicts a man with a beard. The work can be located around 1900. The frame is reminiscent of a 16th century frame. On the back is an inscription in a wooden pencil. (to be deciphered) The frame is peeled off and stained on the back. Wear, rubbing and scratching. Sold as not cleaned. Restoration to be expected. Pierre-cenon trigo (1850-1914) It is known that pierre-cénon (or pierre-zénon) was born in ataca in the province of zaragoza (spain), on december 16, 1850. His parents were pierre trigo manuela claver. He married amélie chevalier in nantes on may 27, 1879. Her father was working on the grant. The deputy who married them was paul emile sarradin, the future mayor of the city. He was a painter, his paintings and watercolours made the happiness of the nantes. He is owed all the missing trades of the old nantes, from the glazier to the sweeper, from the jailloux to the umbrella repairer.
