Portrait of lady with the poodle. Oil on canvas of 80x100cm signed I guisset. Baguette frame in natural wood. Ignace guisset, between new fauvism and pop art! Born in montignies-sur-sambre in 1920 and died in woluwé-saint-pierre in 2000. He trained at the academy of saint-josse-ten-noode from 1972 where he obtained a degree in drawing in 1977 and painting in 1979. He won the first prize for cultural youth and the grand prix de wallonie in 1983. He has collaborated on the murals on rue de brabant and rue de liedekerke in brussels. He likes to paint landscapes, figures, portraits, city views (brussels) and fair scenes. These landscapes are inspired by the surroundings of brussels (grimbergen or the sonian forest, for example), provence and auvergne. New fawn, he is a convinced colorist with a touch and a dynamic style going as far as the clash of colors, not without recalling pop art. Represented in the collections of the charlier museum in saint-josse-ten-noode and in the communal house of woluwé-saint-pierre.
