Superb modernist armchair from or in the style of René Herbst. No reference on this variation with armrests of the famous bungee chair from Herbst from 1927, which has become an icon of French modernist furniture. Tubular structure in chrome steel with seat and back made of bungee cords attached by hooks. The backrest slides and allows individualized comfort. Very slight signs of wear consistent with age.
