Mixed media on paper, Shipment protected with insurance, Certificate of authenticity provided by the gallery. I continue a work around the line, between appearance and escape. The paper medium as the meeting point between the drawing and the imprint, the gesture to explore the skin of the image, the grain of the support. The drawing as the marks of a passage; shadows and lines drawn in the sky of the page. Drawing as the graphic projection of a desire. An archaeological quest, the excavation of a motif, which goes back to the origins and whose genealogy is lost. Drawing as the shaping of a mobile thought that develops and knows all kinds of states, all kinds of "becomings". A system with multiple inputs and outputs where sometimes the faces can be guessed or revealed, play with fusions by combining imprints, pictorial technique and drawing. I combine the drawing with the printed image, playing with encounters between the gesture and the spot, the density of the line and that of the trace. This encounter between the drawing – a remnant of figuration – and the substrate of the printed image creates a cloudy material, like a fleeting skin... Keeping in places areas of sharpness and blur, moving textures, at the limit of the readable.
