Art deco earthenware lamp by simone larrieu (1912-1996), stylized décor, polychrome enamels on a cream background. In perfect condition, new lampshade, bayonet bulb provided. Handwritten signature on the foot. Height 33.5cm with lampshade, 23cm with socket. Diameter 17cm widest. About... Octave larrieu (1881-1965) Simone larrieu (1912–1996) Octave larrieu and his daughter simone work together in their ceramic workshop near tarbes in the pyrenees. They practice sandstone and faience whose painted or relief decorations are applied according to the drawings of simone larrieu. Painter, pastellist, simone larrieu is a member of the association la palette and decorator on ceramics. It is she who provides most of the decorations of the family workshop.
