Beautiful heater, by the fire. Very nice 19th century walnut-shaped warm-up chair, stamped marcel. Narrow, high back edits in confessional, its 5-foot curved frame is made of walnut moulded in the style of louis xv, Feet ending on thin coils have a sculpted floral pattern, The movements of the belt and feet, very pronounced (moulded and sculpted all sides) bring all its elegance to this rare model of chair. The whole thing is in superb condition, The original tapestry, with a green and light green floral and vegetable pattern on a creamy white background, is slightly worn on the central backrest, The trim and the work of upholstery, period, are in very good condition, The belt was formerly reinforced by 2 large and thin pieces of metal (see photos). The stamp: marcel is affixed to the inside of the heater's rear crosswalk. Her heavily moulded feet, her dimensions, her original tapestry, her mixture between nanny chair and confessional make this heater an exceptionally amazing model. Nb: we are aware of several 19th century cabinetmakers who could use this stamp, but we cannot attribute it with certainty to one or the other. Dimensions: 104cm high, 52cm wide and 52cm deep. The seat, which measures 52cm wide and 40cm deep, is 35cm high.
