Rocking Chair Eames RKR-2 Bikini 1st generation 1950 Wire-chair Herman Miller

One of charles and ray eames' iconic creations: the rocking chair "rkr-2". "wire-chair" shell with its orange bikini cover, on its rocker base, the 'skis' are made of birch wood. A completely original 1950s collection, absolute collector. The model was introduced in 1951 to the herman miller catalogue, this model dates from before 1957 (the back of the bikini cover will no longer be in hemp from that date). The cover label attests that the chair was still manufactured at 901 washington boulevard, venice in california, the address of the "eames office". Beautiful patinated condition, no break or repair at the 'wire-chair' hull.
