PH5 lamps by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen 1950

The PH5 design is based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which's directs the majority of the light downwards. The warm tone of light is created by the inside red cone and a small blue reflector. It weighs 1.2 kg. These PH5 lamps are designed by Poul Henningsen for Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen in 1958. This model is named PH5 because the diameter of the top shade is 50 cm. It has a white finish and provides a glare free illumination.
