Horezu ceramic pitcher

Pitcher with peacock tail motifs typical of this region of Romania. The harmonious and expressive colours that characterize Horezu's ceramics are obtained from powdered clays (for shades of ochre, red, brown, white) or copper oxide (for green). This pitcher is beautifully crafted nonetheless it is not signed and the "peacock tails" are less finely worked in comparison to the signed dish of Horezu that I also present on Selency. Diameter 7 cm. With the cove: 10 cm.
