Children's chair JAPY Brothers in red lace-up curved wood

Beautiful child's chair, curved wood, lasked in red (original I think), with an incredible patina, inimitable and for good reason, this chair is over 80 years old! It is from the japy frères brand in beaucourt and has a partial label underneath. It is rare, I have not found any similar in my research. But I found its trace on a catalog of japy furniture, it is the child seat no.83 delivered normally in plain hue, the color laquising was done on request with payment of a supplement. According to my research, the company japy, better known as a hardware store and watchmaker, sold its furniture business to baumann in may 1939. This makes it possible to date this chair before may 1939 and also explains why this chair looks a lot like some baumann-stamped models. Given his age, he is in good condition, still solid and stable. But he does not hide his age with many and varied spots and marks including spin holes that I treated by injection of white vinegar. I cleaned it and added small felt skates (not present in the photos). It measures 45 cm at the highest, 24 cm of seat height, 35 cm wide, 35 cm deep and weighs about 1.7 kg.
