Cut paper and colored shadows on cardboard. Hans lankes creates fine carvings to create small, light and colorful universes that will illuminate your interior with the colorful shadows cast by the carvings. In hans lankes, there is no artificial light. The light in the room is enough. And, it is depending on the light irradiation that the shadows appear diffuse or sharp. The wall objects are cut out of cardboard. They are coated with fluorescent paint on the lapel and hanging from the walls. Then, according to the ambient light, the colourful ombres are revealed. Hans lankes' works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in galleries, art institutes, museums and associations throughout germany and austria.
