If you are a fan of furniture with a simple and functional design, you certainly know the Estonian firm Luterma specializing in the manufacture of wooden furniture, famous in particular for its collaboration with Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer. Made of curved beech and camel imitation leather, this series of four bistro chairs is a set with a rare and original design, whose seat decorated with delicate arabesques is characteristic of the pre-war work of the manufacture. Unearthed in their original state, these chairs are aimed at those who love objects with experience and which proudly display the marks of their history. Made at the beginning of the 20th century, they must have heard stories about them...and seen many generations pass by. More than 100 years of daily use have given these chairs a unique patina. Varnish worn or blackened in places, missing backrest bars, brass upholstery nails showing traces of verdigris and sometimes absent or replaced by points, small tears in the imitation leather... This set has a lot of marks of time, and lots of charm! Despite these small flaws, it remains in very good general condition for its age and can still be used for several decades. Note an old repair on a piece of curved wood on a seat. Luterma stamp under the seat. Seat height: approximately 47 cm.
