Modernist vase in glazed earthenware by roland brice in biot (alpes maritimes), inspired by the work of fernand léger. Free form with hollow handle, abstract décor with yellow and white enamels on a black background. Fifties. Very good condition. Height 24cm. Diameter 12cm at the collar, 8cm at the base. R.brice biot a-m under base. By the way... Roland brice (1911-1989) and fernand léger (1881-1955) Based in biot (alpes maritimes) from 1951 to 1955, fernand léger worked on ceramics in the studio of sculptor roland brice. It begins with utilitarian pieces, vases, plates, with free shapes and primary colors characteristic of the painter's work, before creating monumental wall bas-reliefs.
