This model manufactured by Herman Miller in the 1950s, is of exceptional quality. The "Potato Chip Chair" is the result of the first experiments carried out by Charles and Ray Eames as early as 1945 on the moulding of plywood that could make it possible to adapt as best as possible to the silhouette of the human body. The chair has two parts: the back and the petal-shaped seat. In 1946 the Eames presented it at the competition organized by the MoMA of New York in 1946 "Organic Design in Home Furnishings." It is now on display at MoMA, Department of Architecture and Design. The Herman Miller logo is engraved in the silent blocks. The multiplex panels (plywood) finish ebony black ash are in excellent condition. No trace, feleure or task. Equipped with the original 'dome of silence' skates and a solid metal frame, specific to the old editions. Thanks to the organic lines of its hull and the slightly flexible back, the lightweight and compact seat is extremely comfortable. An exceptional design piece! (A second identical chair is available) Dimensions // Length 55 cm // Total height 85 cm // Height of seat 40 cm //Depth 58 cm// Weight 7 kg. Careful packaging and delivery (Selency Transporter)
