Leather trunk, travel bazaar, Paris

Superb trunk from the late 19th or early 20th century. Totally in its juice, with excellent quality leather. The manufacture of these trunks was very special: the cowhide was molded and sewn wet to give it its shape. The best use of this trunk in my opinion is to make it a coffee table, with or without a glass plate. The photos show all the charm of this rare trunk but also its small defects (seams, tears, shape, tasks, absence of closures...) that contribute to the true charm that emerges from this object. A partial or total renovation is possible, but it is quite charming as it is.
