Description
Period: ca. 1960. A nice pair of classic salters. They rest on three feet of volutes. The décor is composed of floral motifs in relief. The lower half is decorated with a frieze of godrons. The glass inserts are removable and made of good quality thick glass. There is a small spoon provided, but it is not original to the salters. They are marked with the i-ommet mark and another rather illegible number/number. It is a russian brand used by mstera jewelers. There is a lot of debate online (but apparently no literary sources) about the content of the metal alloy used; it is probably not silver, but it is potentially silver as was the custom with mstera items made in the 60s for tourist trade, and especially the salters were popular... State: Very good. No damage. The verrines are in excellent condition. Dimensions: see photo.
