Description
Pair of art deco ceramic plates from the netherlands. Made by the amsterdam school in the 1920s, in the style of christiaan johannes van der hoef. The first plate - polychrome decoration depicting a man playing the accordion. Border with half-moon patterns. Presence of the inscription "gezelligheid kent geen tijd". Diameter 22.5 cm. Excellent condition. The second plate - polychrome decoration of an old couple around a pan, the man smoking the pipe, the woman drinking tea. Border with geometric patterns of green color. Diameter - 22.5 cm. Very good condition. Note only a small lack on the outer border and a hair barely visible on the reverse. On the reverse of each plate - stamp of the manufacture and marking "handmade" Very good general condition for the pair.
