Large vintage pendant light in bamboo and rattan, circa 1960's

Large & wide vintage mid-century pendant lamp, in bamboo & rattan, circa 1960. The structure of the lamp is made of bamboo and rattan woven around the upper, middle and lower sections (see photos). The design itself is somewhat unusual in a hexagonal shape. Above the socket is an adjustable bar with a vertical bamboo loop, which is attached to the chain, which moves back and forth, allowing the chain to naturally fall into position when suspended.when lit, it emits a very nice warm light, highlighting some very cool design motifs (see photos.) this beautiful piece is overall in very good, original & vintage condition, with slight marks, signs of age & previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure (see photos.) signs of age, some slightly discolored areas of the bamboo, both on the both exterior and interior of the shade, signs of age & previous use on the rotating bar, which is to be expected for a piece of this age, but nothing that affects the functionality of the piece (see photos.). This part has been tested and is fully functional (see photos.) it features a brass b22 bayonet socket & works with a standard b22 bayonet style bulb (not included) or a g 40 style globe bulb would make a superb effect (personal choice). It has only been lightly dusted and oiled with linseed oil, respecting the original patina. Whether used in a bedroom, entryway, dining room, patio, etc., this stunning pendant light is the perfect accent piece to complement any mid-century retro-bohemian style.farmhouse or rustic-contemporary setting.
