Here is a very pretty art nouveau mirror. It is part of this artistic movement, of course by its age, but also by its lines and decorations, as well as by the use of a material which has proven itself since the beginning of the century in creation, wrought iron. , here patinated black. Framing a beveled glass in good condition (barely a slight scratch), the wrought iron decorations are indeed astonishing. The "spiral" pattern present at the 4 corners of the cut-edged mirror is undoubtedly among the most emblematic of this magnificent period so prolific in novelties of all kinds. Circa 1920-30, this mirror is magnificent and in perfect condition, which is rare for such an object. This landscape presentation is still rare when many rectangular mirrors seek a more common portrait shape. The 2 hooks on the sides allow this arrangement, by enclosing the fixing that will be provided. It is undoubtedly another trace of this artistic period when most mirrors were intended horizontally rather than vertically. The back is made up of a wooden plate on which still floats an air of history with its marks of life. Its resolutely retro side fits wonderfully with our contemporary decors, it is the paradox of arts deco, which remains an always new art! With this magnificent piece, history speaks to the eyes of those who admire it.
