Chest of drawers in rosewood, mahogany and stained wood marquetry, topped with white carrara marble. This chest of drawers has a drawer in the belt whose front has a marquetry of rectangles in mahogany veneer surrounded by strips of light wood and stained wood. The surround is rosewood. In the lower part, we find two large drawers with hidden crossbars with veneer fronts arranged in butterfly wings and surrounded by stained wooden fillets. The whole is surrounded by rosewood. All louis XVI knotted entrances are in bronze and the original locks are in working order. The keys are later. The drawers are fitted with stops. The half-column rosewood uprights are attached to the furniture and inlaid with stained wood elements. They are decorated with falls at the top and collars at the bottom. The whole rests on spindle feet ending in brass sabots. The sides of this piece of furniture repeat the main marquetry of the facade. This small piece of furniture is topped with thick carrara marble with projections, rounded in the corners and with grooves. ******** period: late 19th century excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
