Very original “fir” tureen made by JD&S in England at the end of the 19th century. The earthenware is white in color with reliefs. Decorated by transfer with lavender blue patterns representing fir branches (fir in English) with their apples. The handles and feet represent the roots of the fir trees. The lid has an opening for a ladle. Condition (see photos): Very good condition. No cracks. Note: a small chip on the top of the lid and small manufacturing defects on the inside of the lid with small spots of use. Presence of stains on the feet of the body but hardly visible if the tureen is not turned over.
