Handkerchief game table with marquetry XXth era

Elegant "handkerchief" game table, square with marquetry composed of blond and dark rosewood. The four triangular shutters rotate and reveal a play space of 79 cm X 79 cm. The latter is garnished in the center with a green felt bordered by a golden frieze on a black background. Each of the corners of this board offers a cup hollow to deposit their pawns. In the closed position, we will appreciate the pretty marquetry of light wood, as well as the fillets of lemon tree, which embellish the top of this flying table. A drawer in front opens in a belt by two small draw buttons in chiseled brass. The whole rests on four sheathed legs, reminiscent of the directoire period. They are finished with castors – edwardian style (after the victorian period) – xxth century. Dimensions: l.56 cm X l.56 cm X h.72 cm. Closed tray: 56 X 56 cm. Open top: 79 X 79 cm. Height: 72 cm.
