Pierre-antoine cluzeau (1884-1963) From may 18 to september 21, 2008, la villa medicis de saint-maur (94) presented a retrospective of pierre-antoine cluzeau's work, an opportunity for all to discover a charming place and a beautiful artist with little-known talent. Pierre-antoine cluzeau arrived in saint-maur in 1904 and, very attached to this city and its region, he remained there for the rest of his life. On the encouragement of his father, he began a short career in commerce but was much more interested in drawing. In 1908, he was admitted to the fine arts and was able to give free rein to his passion, exercise his gaze, affirm his technique, especially that of engraving. His masters unanimously praised the quality of his work and encouraged him to continue on this path.
