Old terracotta canteen

Old terracotta gourd with a spherical shape, flat on one side and double handle. Nineteenth century. He comes from santiago millas (león). This is a handmade reproduction of the canteens or lagunculas of the roman legionaries, which were attached to the body with a hemp strap. Widely used by field workers. It measures 16.5cm high, 13cm wide and 8cm deep. It weighs 2.1 kg. In good general condition (see photos). Without cap.
