The arabia rug is hand-woven in the middle atlas mountains of morocco. It is a scale reproduction of a fragment of the largest carpet in the world, commissioned in 1903 by the sultan of persia and completed in 2009. The geometric movement takes up the typical arab shapes in an interlacing in the shape of star and floral patterns. Classic arabia rugs are usually woven with contrasting oriental designs.
