Description
Enamelled stoneware pitcher with geometric patterns by ceramist alexandre kostanda, vallauris (1921 - 2007). Apprenticed to louis giraud in vallauris in 1936, he was then a teacher of the four founders of the accolay workshops. After taking charge of louis giraud's workshops in 1949, he opened his own workshop in vallauris in 1953. His production is refined ceramics, with floral or abstract motifs and natural shades. Signed below “kostanda vallauris”. Pitcher in very good condition and good dimensions. H28cm X l21cm.
