Chair 210 Thonet for Ligna Circa 60's

Chair/armchair 210 designed by gebrüder thonet, for ligna, czechoslovakia, circa 60s. The design and inspiration of this model comes from the iconic 209 chair "le corbusier", but with a backrest. It had a canus or padded finish. The ligna brand is the result of the nationalization of several thonet factories after the second world war. The structure is made of curved beech wood and bears its original green textured fabric on the backrest and seat. The chair also has its original rattan strap/caning, under the upholstery, which is in perfect condition, without wear (see photos.) the chair is sold "as is". As the fabric has signs of aging and previous use over time, one can choose to reupholster or keep the original fabric, "as is" or remove the fabric, in order to highlight the rattan base of the seat (see photos). The wooden structure is in very good condition, original and vintage, with slight marks and signs of age and previous use proportional to time (see photos.) some faded finishing areas on the general structure, as well as the patina of age and time (see photos.) some signs of aging and discoloration on the back feet, see photos. It has only been delicately cleaned and polished compared to its original patina. The chair is solid and bears the mark of its manufacturer and its country of origin under the seats (see photos.) seat height: 48 cm.
