Barrel chest - Chinese crafts - bamboo, rattan and wood - 1950s

Quite uncommon handcrafted barrel chest from the 50s/60s. People's republic of china. Rattan and wicker woven on stained wooden structure. Assembly of bamboo by textile thread and tips and glue. Height: 20 cm. Length: 33 cm. Width: 22 cm. Diameter of the sides: 16 cm. Weight: 620 gr. Together in good condition but to handle with care, the assembly being fragile and old. No lack or major accident. Note some weaknesses of gluing on some bamboo blades as well as some dirt and traces. One of the two wicker laces is a little unwound but this does not prevent the closure.
