PK61A large model coffee table, design Poul Kjaerholm 1956 for Fritz Hansen

The PK61 coffee table designed by the famous designer Poul Kjorholm is made to strict standards for the Danish brand Fritz Hansen. It features a laminated Italian marble tray resting on a brushed steel base. The PK61 coffee table features a minimalist silhouette combining a brushed steel base with clean lines and a removable square-shaped marble tray from the mountains of southern Italy. The result is a room with sober and recognizable lines. Danish designer Poul Kjorholm was a forerunner, one of the first designers to use stainless steel and aluminum in the 1950s. Inspired by Le Corbusier and Breuer, he designed pieces as elegant and innovative today as they were at the time of their creation. The table was purchased in 2009 from Forum Diffusion and is in very good condition.
