Bamiléké chef's stool, early 20th century

Superb bamiléké chef's stool in solid wood dating from the beginning of the 20th century from the southwest of cameroon. Carved with the greatest care and the greatest art, in a single piece of wood. These stools hold deep cultural significance. Timeless design with these sculpted animal motifs. They were reserved for important dignitaries. Very good general condition with some normal wear and 2 small losses which in no way alter its century-old charm. It can also be used very well as a side table, coffee table or harness.
