The baumann factory is a furniture company located in a former clog factory in colombier-fontaine in the doubs (france). It is one of the most reputable companies of the twentieth century in the field of market industry. It was in 1903 that the son of the swiss founder emile baumann, named walter, took over the management of the company. The factory had its first successes with children's chairs and furniture, as it is a pioneer in this field. Baumann then expanded its range to create bentwood furniture, bistro chairs, pedestal tables, children's trolleys called "carts" and hangers. The company grows and spreads by relying on its fundamente: high quality of manufacture (materials, assembly, speed...), innovation and customer loyalty. The plant closed in 2003.
