Padded fabric box in vintage mountain village

The box is in very good condition. No major damage or missing items. It is made of a hard cardboard base, covered with a fairly textured printed fabric, with a mountain village motif, in pastel tones. The back and the inside of the box are covered in paper, blue for the back, and marbled for the inside, like binding paper. The hinge is also made of fabric. Very good general condition. Note the trace of an old label on the bottom, these boxes were sold in large so-called "novelty" stores such as Printemps or La Samaritaine for example, and often had a label on the bottom, originally, this who can explain this trace. French manufacture from the first half of the 20th century.
