Antique pair of normandy calvados jug french stoneware jugs. French country crockery. French pottery. Farm house jug. Rustic earthenware france. Late 19th century. These vessels are from normandy and were used to contain and keep the calvados (apple brandy) These primitive ceramic pots finds its place in a farmhouse kitchen, country or cottage decor, even classical decor. But can add lot of character in a minimal decor, scandi or modern. The stoneware pot is waterproof and still usable as jug with cleaning. (not for drinking water) Excellent antique condition, a rare find. There are small pieces of green glass stuck to the surface of the largest one. The jar must have been held next to a handblown glass operation at some point of time. Price per pair. Measures large: 25 cm wide. 20 cm depth. 40 cm high. Measures medium: 20 cm wide. 17 cm depth. 35 cm high.
