Central part is richly decorated with surrounded birds surmounted by small flowering medallions. The state of conservation is excellent. Provenance: france, paris porcelain, nineteenth century. Dimensions: 40 X 13.5 cm. Paris porcelain: paris, capital of art, fashion and luxury could not, during the discovery of kaolin in the eighteenth century around 1765, in saint-yrieix-la-perche near limoges, not produce prestigious porcelain. Porcelaine de paris, more commonly called "old paris" by antique dealers, is a porcelain with hard paste, pure white, milky, very shiny, decorated by paint and very often by gold. In 1887, achille bloch and léon bourdois acquired a stake in the clauss factory. When eugène clauss left in 1890, they became sole owners until bourdois left in 1900 who left the factory in full ownership to achille bloch.
